New College Bradford proudly hosted its Annual Awards Evening on Tuesday 9th December at the University of Bradford, bringing together students, families, friends, colleagues and alumni for a vibrant celebration of achievement. With approximately 350 people in attendance and 77 award winners, the evening showcased the remarkable accomplishments of our students over the last 12 months.

Celebrating Success Across the College
The event recognised students from across all year groups:
- Transition Awards celebrated the academic achievements and embodiment of the 5Cs by students who joined us in September.
- Year 12 Awards acknowledged the success and commitment of learners in the 2024–2025 academic year (our current Year 13 cohort).
- Year 13 Awards honoured both academic excellence and the 5Cs in our alumni, many of whom returned to celebrate with us.
It was fantastic to welcome back so many of our alumni and hear about their exciting next steps in university, apprenticeships and employment. Their stories provided inspiration for our current students and a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through hard work, resilience and ambition.
Special Awards
Five exceptional students received special recognition for their outstanding contributions and remarkable personal journeys. The award categories were Outstanding Contribution to College Life (two recipients), Overcoming Adversity to Achieve Excellence (two recipients) and Principal’s Award. These awards reflect the extraordinary character, dedication and resilience shown by these individuals, and we are incredibly proud of their achievements.
A Message of Thanks
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who made the evening such a memorable success.
To the University of Bradford – thank you to the Outreach Team and Catering Team for once again hosting us with such warmth and professionalism. Particular thanks to Dr William Martin, Executive Dean of the Faculty for Health Studies at the University of Bradford, who was our Guest of Honour. He gave aninspiring speech and spent time speaking with our students and their families which was really appreciated.
To our colleagues at New College Bradford – thank you for your collective effort and commitment. Particularly Sidiq Ali (Vice Chair of our Advisory Group), who opened the event, presented awards, and for his ongoing support. Also, to our amazing NCLT and NCB staff who supported with the organisation and promotion of the event, and for being present on the evening to hand out the awards.
The Annual Awards Evening was a wonderful reminder of the talent, determination and spirit that define the New College Bradford community. Thank you once again to everyone who contributed, supported and celebrated with us. We look forward to another year of success, progress and opportunity for all our students.
