Another set of productive meetings were held this week, this time with Bradford College and One in a Million Free School, both of which have interesting insights into working with Bradford’s young people and in raising educational outcomes.
Bradford College are the city’s large GFE provider, with over 25,000 students on a wide range of full-time and part-time courses. Their primary base is in the city centre, on Great Horton Road. They offer one of the largest range of HE courses of any FE college in the country and, through the Bradford College Education Trust, they sponsor three secondary schools.
One in a Million Free School opened in September 2013, with the aim of working with children and young people in areas of deprivation within Bradford. Smaller than a traditional secondary school, they were one of the earliest free schools to open in the city.
