Last week saw an innovative new mentoring programme start in Sport & PE. The programme is being led by Sports teacher Anthony Gallagher. Anthony is a highly qualified professional football coach who works as a mentor for the FA and has also worked in the professional game with Leeds United, Bradford City and Sheffield Wednesday, so he brings a wealth of experience for the students to tap in to.
The mentor programme has been established to give NCB students more insight into coaching and also to enable them to develop a range of different skills through workshops and practical coaching sessions. The sessions will take place on a Friday afternoon from 2.30pm until 3.30pm.
