NCB Students Impress Local Employers and Apprenticeship Providers

On 11th and 12th May, New College Bradford welcomed a wide range of local employers and apprenticeship providers for our Apprenticeship Fair, speaking with our students about apprenticeship opportunities in a range of different careers, including pharmacy, business, engineering, policing, accountancy, sales, healthcare, customer service, IT and education.

The students found the event really helpful, with some students being offered interviews for apprenticeship positions based on their discussions with the providers. The employers were incredibly impressed with our students, saying they were articulate, well-informed and motivated to succeed. Some of the providers reported that the NCB students they spoke to were the best they had ever spoken with at any of the schools and colleges they had visited.

This event will help lead into our Careers and HE Day on 16th June 2022, where we will welcome seventy employers and universities to college to help students with their decisions for the future. These links with employers and universities are one of the main reasons that our students progress so well after they leave college.

Thank you to Appris, Woodspeen, Qube, Morrisons, CCS Media, Skills for Work, West Yorkshire Police, Bradford College, Shipley College, Calderdale College and Leeds City College for visiting us and supporting our students so well.
