Important Information and Dates for New College Bradford – Summer 2025

The NCB Student Services office is closed until Monday 18 August, although emails will be checked periodically.  Please read the information below, and if your query is not answered we will respond to your email as soon as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

A-Level and Other Level 3 Results

  • Results will be available on Thursday 14 August to collect in person from the College between 8.15am- 10:30am.  Results will be available on Cedar from Friday 15 August at 9.00am.
  • You can nominate someone else to collect your results on your behalf between the times above on Thursday 14 August 2025. The person collecting will need to bring a letter signed by you, stating the name of the person collecting them, and that you give your permission for them to collect. In the letter you must also state your full legal name and date of birth. The person nominated to collect must bring some form of photographic ID of themselves to show to staff before they are given the results.

GCSE Results

  • GCSE results will be available Thursday 21 August from Reception between 8.30am – 10.30am.
  • You can nominate someone else to collect your results on your behalf between 8.30am and 10.30am on Thursday 21 August 2025. The person collecting will need to bring a letter signed by you, stating the name of the person collecting them, and that you give your permission for them to collect. In the letter you must also state your full legal name and date of birth. The person nominated to collect must bring some form of photographic ID of themselves to show to staff before they are given the results.

Enrolment Days – New Year 12 Students

  • Thursday 21 August and Friday 22 August.
    • If you want to change course, you must wait until you come to enrol.
    • If you don’t get the results you need, we can explore this fully with you on the Enrolment Day.  If you don’t get the grades you were hoping for, this does not necessarily mean that you cannot come to New College.  We offer 45 different courses with a range of entry criteria and we will do our best to find you a programme that matches your skills, interests and GCSE results.
    • If you do not have your official results slip from school, you WILL NOT be able to come in and enrol until you have them.

  • If you have not received your enrolment letter please send your full name, date of birth and address to the above email address and we will look into this for you and respond as soon as possible before Enrolment Day. 

Changing Enrolment Day – Away for Enrolment

  • If you cannot attend on 21 or 22 August, please follow the instructions carefully on your enrolment letter. If you do not your place at College may be at risk.

Late Applications

  • You can still apply through the college website. We will be deciding after enrolment if we are able to take any more students.  We already have a waiting list.

Start of Term Dates

New College Bradford

Wednesday 3 September and Thursday 4 September are Induction Days for Year 12. You will be expected to attend both days.

Year 13 will attend induction on Friday 5 September.

All Year 12 and Year 13 will start term on Monday 8 September

  • I don’t have my results?

You must have them in order to enrol. You need to contact your school and get them before you come in.

  • I am sick and can’t come into enrolment?

  • I can’t find my enrolment letter with the time/date?

We will re-send you your letter using the email address you have used to contact us.

  •  How do I apply for Bursary?

Applications can be made from 3 September 2025 on Induction Day and help will be available.

  • How do I access the summer independent learning?

  • What to do if I have changed my contact details?

Any details to be changed can be done on our return after 18 August.

  • I am wanting a reference from a member of staff.

Teaching staff and Progress Tutors return on 21 August; however this is when enrolment takes place for our college and is a busy time of year, so we will deal with your request as soon as possible. 

  • I am on holiday at the start of term.

Please make your interviewer aware on your Enrolment Day. College will not authorise absences for holidays in term time in any circumstances.

  • When am I able to make an application for September 2026?

The application system opens week commencing 8 September for any new applicants.

  • Can I change my courses?

At the moment we are unable to change course.  Course changes can be discussed at Enrolment.
