Counselling
Here at New College Bradford we care about our students’ mental health and emotional wellbeing. We have a qualified Counsellor (Luna) on site throughout term time for anyone who would like to talk to someone confidentially about issues that they are dealing with.
Counselling is a confidential talking therapy that provides you with an opportunity to think and talk in a private, safe and non-judgmental environment. The aim of this is to help you explore your thoughts and feelings about problems that may be concerning you or causing distress thus preventing you from living your life how you want to. It can be a good way to understand yourself better which can empower you to create positive change.
Luna Wilde – Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00
Contact: 01274 089189 ext. 3232 Luna.Wilde@nclt.ac.uk
Drop-in sessions are available without prior booking for 15 minutes 08:15 – 08:45 Monday to Thursday. These are helpful for individuals who would benefit from a brief chat if they need a few minutes to talk to someone confidentially, for information on other support and services available or to find out more about counselling before completing a self-referral.
The Counselling office is located in the LRC, Ground Floor.
All referrals must be made by the individual wishing to engage with counselling only and can be made by completing the online self-referral form below.
There is also plenty of useful resources and information about counselling and mental health support on the Counselling quick link on the student hub SharePoint page!
